Theology on Tap is a speaker series that takes place in the fun, relaxed setting of Utica pub. “ToT” focuses on topics of faith and contemporary issues that directly affect the lives of young adults (ages 21-39). The goal is to provide a forum for young adults to learn about and discuss their faith in a relaxing social setting. . In this casual atmosphere – Theology on Tap provides an opportunity to not only learn about the Catholic faith but also meet like-minded people and make new friends. In the Utica area for 2015-16 these events will occur on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Saranac Pub.

What if I’m Not a Young Adult?   Theology-on-Tap is designed to address the needs, questions and interests of young adults in their 20s and 30s. We ask that the age range be respected.

What is the Cost?   There is no cost to attend. Food and a drink are free.

Do I Have to Register in Advance?   No need to register! Just bring yourself, a friend and an open mind.

What if I Don’t Drink Alcohol?   To some the name Theology-on-Tap suggests that this program promotes the use of alcohol. To others it suggests a relaxed, social environment where young adults gather. Although most sites do offer beer and wine, all sites offer alternatives such as soda and water for those who do not wish to drink an alcoholic beverage. There is certainly no pressure to drink at any of the sites.

Theology on Tap is a program of the Office of Young Adult Ministry that reaches out to young adults who want to explore the role of faith in their daily lives. It is a nationally recognized speaker and fellowship program for more than 30 years. It provides an opportunity to not only learn about the Catholic faith, but also meet like-minded people and make new friends.
